Holiday is coming soon!!! holiday make me lagi lazy~ Sienz...

Must gao dim the 1minute show reel during holiday. My show reel just show character design , color and facial expression. I think facial expression bit challenge to me but it also good challenge for me. At least i can learn more about rigging and it also can help me in future.

During class i totally speechless when i heard different type of rigging -= = got soft IK , soft body , osipa rig and etc. Wah , make me so confuse. Need some time to experiment about rigging this section. On that day , maychan share many tutorial , video , animation and etc. TQ very much . Help us a lot . Can relax and watch those video during holiday.

Character Design

Last monday is holiday, i do nothing in my proposal..but i try to think what i need to do in 1 minute animation reel.

Before attend class, my idea is find one 3D model and animate it what happen in ship...also facial expression~

After ask Maychan, just need to body language and facial expression. So, i decide to do this in my 1 minute animation reel. Then i need study more about my character's body language and look for more reference. Another is color study also part of work in character design.

Body language is a form of non-verbal communication, which consists of body posture, gestures , facial expressions and eye movements. Humans send and interpret such signals almost entirely subconsciously. Body language may provide clues as to the attitude or state of mind of a person. For example, it may indicate aggression, attentiveness, boredom, relaxed state, pleasure, amusement and intoxication, among many other cues.

I found in another blog named body language research written by another person. He said "As animators, I feel we tend to over-think every pose we use for our characters anyway.  By studying acting we have a somewhat decent grasp on what pose a character should hold to communicate their feelings, and how to make a pose feel closed off or open." He also recommend some book to everyone learnt more about language. Example : What Every BODY is Saying , The Definitive Book of Body Language , The Secrets of Body Language. 

After that , i find one more is about Body Language Animation Synthesis From Prosody.OMG, too many word..don't know got mood to study it anot~ Mission Impossible!!!!

Again and again and again and again....
This also 'flashback' memory..Our story changed jor, from a teenager to a man~


The story is talking about a man go back home and happen at sky. On the way he going to home, he meet a dolphin then meet thunder storm..Inside thunder storm meet shark and success escaped~Finally he reach the turtle island..A girl is waiting for him at the turtle island.


So, i changed the synopsis,title,theme and message.


Inside this story got man,girl,turtle island,shark,dolphin,airship..I choose girl,shark and dolphin as my character design.I research about real shark and dolphin and try to copy position. Monday that day, kena banned because i forgot to write the characteristics and personality.


Opps, so sorry about that and do not know why i chose girl this sub-character..I also feel weird on myself too~ Lecturer told me my character either be more artistic or realistic because my style is in center of it..hmm..i also din think this before~


So..Again and again and again and again need do more detail and more research~

FINALLY

Finally..Now only start writing my blog.so everything will flashback to last few week~
After creative studio class,we required to chose one topic which is can help in your final short film.I work in group in my final short film.
So i should choose one part of jobs that i good enough to help my group member.

After group discussion, i choose character design as my target to enhance and improve..When i do proposal that time, i totally no idea how to do and the formal.
Inside my final short final got character and vehicle so i find a lot of picture about character and vehicle.

Finally again..i done my presentation. I thought design all character and vehicle maybe more benefit to my group but not good at all. Lecturer said just focus in 2 or 3 enough and my proposal totally not complete too.
If do character design this section, u should list down the character characteristic and personality. I totally speechless because i did not think about this thing.

So, i will continue research.....
